The Capital City Chorus, under the direction of Denis Laflamme, will represent Ontario District at the 2008 International Convention of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA Inc.) to be held in Nashville TN in July, 2008. They won this right by taking the top prize at a District convention held in Brantford ON in October 2007. The Capital City Chorus will be the only Canadian chorus in this prestigious annual International competition.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, this all-male chorus unites over 97 voices (and growing), and is dedicated to musical excellence and the preservation of the uniquely American style of music known as "Barbershop." In the years since its inception in 1957, the Capital City Chorus has risen to the highest levels of a cappella singing with numerous recognitions to its credit.

Barbershop Harmony is the Black Belt of a cappella singing.
